विद्यार्थी मित्रStudent Friend
A friend every student can talk to. A private corner where a child can say any complaint about school, in their own words, and know that an adult will listen.
- One button. Speak in Marathi, Hindi or English.
- Sorted by type and seriousness within a minute.
- Nobody can delete a complaint. Every action is recorded.
Every child carries something they have not said
The boy pushed around at the water cooler every day. The girl who avoids the washroom because of what someone said there. The child who was hit and thinks it was their fault. And the small things that wear a school day down: a toilet with no water, a fan that never turns, a leaking roof over the last bench.
Telling a teacher means picking a side
In front of the whole class. Most children would rather stay quiet.
The office takes courage
Walking in alone to report something is beyond most children, and all of the younger ones.
The complaint box asks them to write
A slip written in a hurry, read late, and often never read at all. So the school hears about the worst things last.
A friend, not a form
A small tablet in a quiet corner of the school. A child walks up, presses one button, and simply talks, the way they would to a trusted friend. No paper, no queue, no one watching. On the other side, a teacher who will actually hear it.
Speak
The kiosk counts 3-2-1, beeps, and listens for up to 60 seconds. It checks it really heard a voice.
Written down
Speech becomes text in the student's own language. Recordings wait safely on the tablet if Wi-Fi drops.
Understood
Type, seriousness, urgency, place, people mentioned and a short summary. Anything about violence, abuse or self-harm is always marked serious.
Acted on
It appears on the school's staff page and in its Google Sheet. A teacher follows up and records what was done.
What the school gets
A staff page that reads like a register, sorting done for you, and follow-up that sticks.
A simple staff page
Dashboard counts, a filterable complaint list, one page per complaint with the audio, and an Excel download.
Sorted for you
Bullying, physical safety, cleanliness, facilities, mental wellbeing and more, with a seriousness level and a "needs attention" flag.
Right teacher, right kiosk
Assign a lady teacher to the girls' area kiosk and a gents teacher to the boys' area. The principal sees everything.
One Google Sheet per school
A tab per kiosk, newest on top, colour-coded by seriousness, kept up to date automatically. For admins only.
By a child, and by a parent
- No typing, no login, no camera. Whether to give their name is the child's own decision.
- Nobody can delete a complaint. Not a teacher, not the principal, not us. Every action is recorded.
- Serious cases can never be quietly lowered by the software.
- Voice recordings are erased after 30 days.
- No advertising, no tracking, no selling of data. Written for India's DPDP Act 2023.

What a school needs
Per kiosk: any Android tablet or spare phone with Chrome, a stand, a charger, and Wi-Fi in that corner. Nothing is installed on school computers. Setting up a school with two kiosks takes about an hour of adult time, and each tablet is ready in five minutes by opening one link.
Decide the plan
Where the kiosks go, what they are called, which teacher handles which. Minutes with the principal.
Set up each tablet
Open the setup link once on the tablet. It becomes the kiosk. Mount it at a child's eye level and test one recording.
Brief the teachers
Show the staff page, a complaint page, statuses and notes, and hand out the one-page guide. Then tell the students in assembly.
Give your students a friend for one month
We set it up with you in an afternoon. The complaint box asked children to write. Student Friend asks them only to speak. Most will, for the first time.
